Well I guess this is welcome readers.

Welcome to what, you may ask? Well to the ins and outs of my views, thoughts and irrelevant opinions on current and pressing events.

Being a teenager with an interest in politics, I am so used to my opinion being pushed the the side, my values being disrespected and many a time even being told just to shut up, that politics isn’t a place for young people. But this is my way of fighting back towards such comments. My way of saying that no matter my age, I have an opinion and I will be heard. I won’t be quiet anymore.

Right now, their is so much hopelessness in the news and with so much going on it’s is so easy to become scared, hell, many times I am terrified to simply turn on the news as what awaits takes away such faith in humanity. Even though in this blog I do not plan on shying away from big issues and major events, I also have hope that I can offer a fresh perspective, a one of optimism and clarity.

So, what to know about me.

In all honesty, I don’t live a particularly interesting life, I’m just a teenager from the UK with a love of politics, running and skateboarding. The type of person who you can find blasting My Chemical Romance through headphones at 3am. The type of person who comes across as the most outgoing and confident person who is anything but that. I’m a huge nerd who has been raised on marvel (and totally doesn’t have a huge crush on Black Widow) and can be spotted with their head stuffed into a book(The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo and The Symptoms Of Being Human are my favourites)

The more I write this post, the more nervous I become, I really have no clue, I don’t think anyone will see this and I’ve wanted this for so long, a place in which I can rant, give the world the ability to hear my voice but part of me feels like I am not doing enough. At times I do feel like I hide behind my words and passion but I really must remind myself that I am trying and though at times I understand I must do more, all I hope is that I can one mind with this blog.

If I can make one person more accepting and more open minded though my writing, I believe I have succeeded.
